What is Wax Melter

Melting and heat preservation of the melting products of kerosene wax, carnauba wax and ghee. It is the important wax melting device for the process before producing the candle. It can immediately melt the kerosene products, but not destroy its components and thus achieve the maximum number of wax and hear to preserve the melting effect.

The inside of the melting compartment is made by stainless steel thickness plates. The product has high quality and beautiful and humanized design. It is integrated with the mixing table and the stainless rotating blade realizes the same temperature distribution and color of the solution wax. The product includes the types of melting and electric steam melting.

The melter consists of wax, heat pipe of melting preservation case, filter, mesh solenoid valve, mixing motor, mixer and electric box. It is the important of wax — Peripheral melting for the process before producing the candle; It has been widely applied in the candle industry. The stainless steel mixer can be customized and added according to customers’ needs.

Types

Wax melters, such as melting tanks, are generally classified as «direct heating» or «water jacket heating». A third type is known as a convection melter.

A water jacketed melter is generally preferred if more than 40 liters or more are to be poured. A melter should be polished and have a coating to prevent cross-contamination if strongly scented or colored substances are to be used.

Direct heat

Direct heat melters are usually made of aluminum and can heat to over 260¡ÆC (500¡ÆF). Uses range from waxing to soldering. These melters have the heating element placed in contact with the aluminum, which is directly against the substance to be melted, hence the name «direct melter. Since these melters apply heat directly, they can usually not exceed 20 to 40 liters.

Water jacket

Water jacketed melters work more like a large commercial water bath in that they keep substances heated evenly but generally heat to only 100¡ÆC (212¡ÆF), as this is the boiling point of water. They can be made of aluminum, but are usually made of stainless steel. Unlike direct heat melters, water jacket melters can be almost unlimited in size, with 580 liters common and up to the largest melters of ~ 3800 liters and more.

Convection

There is another type of melter that uses convection heating similar to an oven but are generally more expensive than normal heaters, although they are very inefficient and take a long time to heat up simply because they depend on air to heat. Since wax is flammable, another problem with using convection heaters is that the flash point of the wax will be triggered and there will be an explosion. Convection melters are dangerous when heating flammable substances and should not be used.
